Permission has been granted to convert two historic town centre properties into an 11-bedroom HMO (house in multiple occupation).
Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) has given planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of 25-26 West Street, which is Grade II listed.
Aimed at the student rental market, the plan involves adding a two-storey extension to the rear of the property and creating 11 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, sharing kitchen, lounge and utility facilities.
The ground-floor commercial unit at 25 West Street is to be retained.
Buckingham Town Council didnot object but pointed out that there is no parking available on West Street for the residents.
The property has the use of three car parkingspaces at Villiers Hotel.
The town council queried where the bins are to be collected from, as West Street is narrow at this point and 10 bins are shown on the plans.
