A holiday house has received a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence which puts it in the website’s best 10 per cent.
Harvest Moon Barn in Middle Claydon has become a popular four star barn conversion since it opened its doors 18 months ago.
The company, which goes by the same name, also has a second cottage – Ember Eve Barn – which has been available since September.
But its first cottage has now received the award which is given only to places consistently achieving outstanding traveller reviews.
Comments online include ‘could not be better’ and ‘this place is world class.’
Its owner Christine Hodgins, who gets enquiries from as far as Norway and the Netherlands, said she is ‘very grateful’ to visitors who have posted a review.
She said: “Winning the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence is a great source of pride for us.
“It is hard work making sure the barns are as perfect as they can be for visitors.
“But it is their hard-earned holiday and I always remember that.
“I’ve had just one broken glass in 18 months and you meet some really lovely people.”
Marc Charron, president of TripAdvisor for Business said: “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers.”
TripAdvisor has reviews for 3.7 million places to stay, restaurants and attractions.
