Hundreds of protesting NHS workers are striking for four hours amid disputes over pay.

Nurses, midwives and X-ray technicians are among the hospital staff reusing to work this morning because a one per cent pay rise is not being implemented – despite a pay review recommendation.

Workers, including at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, walked out from 7am this morning and will only return at 11am or noon for radiologists.

The strike is spreading across the country, at all sizes of centre, as more unions join the action to win fair pay for NHS staff.
