King’s Sutton poetry reading

A reading of the works of south Northants poet William Lisle Bowles has been organised in celebration of the 250th anniversary of his birth.

Born in King’s Sutton in September 1762, the poet was well-known in his day and influenced such writers as Coleridge and Wordsworth.

The event will be held in King’s Sutton Church on Sunday, September 30, starting at 3pm.
