Commuters have been given a welcome boost as Network Rail confirmed the landslip train line will open three weeks earlier than expected.

King’s Sutton commuters travelling north have had to use a hop-on bus service between Banbury and Leamington Spa because of a 350,000 tonne landslip near Harbury on January 31.

But the line will reopen fully on Friday, March 13

Delays along the line were expected up until Easter but Network Rail said passenger services will resume on Friday and overnight freight services may be running as early as Monday.
