Residents have until the end of Friday this week to give their ideas for street names in the first phase of the North West Bicester eco town.
Fruit, vegetables and herbs have been chosen as a green theme for the street names.
Ideas can be posted in a ballot box in the Eco Bicester demonstration building at Garth House or submitted online at www.ecobicester.org.uk.
Louise Caves, a spokesman for NW Bicester housing provider A2Dominion, said: “There are plenty of varieties of fruit and vegetables to choose from, with over 7,500 types of apples alone.
“The theme also complements other communities in Bicester such as Bure Park, which is named after plants, and streets in Langford Village, which are named after birds.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has put their suggestions forward so far.”
A shortlist will be created once the competition has closed, and a final 50 street names will be selected by local people.
