THERE are just two weeks to go until Winslow’s big charity It’s A Knockout event, on Sunday, June 24.
Nine teams have been entered so far for the fun family event, at the Winslow Centre, but there is still room for a few more, for a minimum donation of £500 a team.
The day is being organised by Winslow man Brian Jarvis, in support of Alec’s Angels, the charity he set up in memory of his nine-year-old son Alec, who sadly died last year from a brain tumour.
Alec’s Angels raises money for three charities – Helen & Douglas House hospice, CLIC Sargent and the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund.
The event will run from 11am to 5pm, with live music all day, games, stalls, refreshments and helicopter rides. Entry is £1.
The It’s A Knockout tournament will start at 11.30am. And in the afternoon there’s a chance for kids to have a go at a mini It’s A Knockout event, for a donation of £5.
