Bicester’s 2507 Squadron of the Air Training Corps (ATC) is set to be granted a special honour following years of public service.

Members of Bicester Town Council’s policy committee agreed to recommend the squadron for the Liberty of Bicester – one of the highest honours the council can bestow.

Although the final decision is yet to be taken by the full council, it was proposed to award the honour at a special event in Garth Park in March next year.

The honour is reserved for military groups and institutions.
