Parents looking for a last minute treat for their children can catch a special Hogwarts Express to visit the magical world of Harry Potter.
Cherwell District Council has teamed up with South Northants Council to offer a discounted day trip to the Warner Bros Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter.
Setting off from Cooper School in Bicester on Wednesday, August 19, the trip will include return coach travel and entry to the tour with discounts available for multiple bookings.
George Reynolds, Cherwell’s deputy leader, said: “This tour will give children the opportunity to pay a visit to platform nine and ¾ where Harry’s adventures began.
“By signing up to the trip children can embark on their own magical adventure and retrace Harry’s footsteps on his way to Hogwarts.
“We know the summer holidays can be difficult for parents as they struggle to balance childcare and work keeping the children occupied.
“This will give them the chance to keep the children entertained all day long without having to take time off work to do so.”
The tour will set off at 9am from Bicester and return at approximately 6.15pm.
It is open to children aged between eight and 16.
Adults are also invited to book tickets when accompanying children but it is not required as the tours will be supervised by staff.
Tickets cost £30 per person, £55 for two people or £80 for three people.
