50 speeding drivers caught

BICESTER: A total of 50 speeding motorists were caught in the space of two hours on the A41 near Bicester on Monday.

The fastest driver was clocked at 73mph in the 40mph zone near the new Chesterton roundabout.

The slowest speeding driver was caught doing 55mph, said Thames Valley Police.

Random speed checks will be carried out until Sunday as part of the pan-European TISPOL (European Traffic Police Network) initiative. Last year’s campaign caught 1,329 speeding drivers in Thames Valley.
