EMERGENCY: A man was airlifted to hospital after dislocating his ankle when attempting to jump over a car at the Silverstone circuit.

The Warks and Northants Air Ambulance was called to the track on Monday, September 3 after the man, believed to be in his 30s, landed awkwardly and is thought to have fractured and dislocated an ankle.

A spokesman for the WNAA said the casualty had a weak pulse and the on board doctor administered strong pain relief in order to reset the ankle .
