Attempted purse snatch in Bicester
BASSETT AVENUE: Police are searching for a man who pushed a young woman to the floor and tried to steal her purse on Thursday last week.
At about 11am, the 24-year-old woman had parked her car in Bassett Avenue when a man approached her from the passageway leading to Wadham Close.
He pushed her over and tried to grab her purse, but ran off empty-handed after a brief struggle. The woman was shocked but did not need hospital treatment.
The would-be robber was pale, thin, and aged in his early thirties. He was about 6ft tall, with pockmarked skin and slightly wavy hair. He wore a cream hooded top with white stripes on the sleeves. Anyone with information should contact PC Bryn Smith at Banbury Police Station on 101.
