PEOPLE in Buckingham have been practising their forehands and feints during badminton sessions at the Royal Latin School.

Since the middle of January players have been attending the Back to Badminton sessions which are designed for people who have not been on a court for many years.

But the sessions are also open to people new to the sport, and those who want to get some exercise while socialising with like-minded people.

The six to eight week programme of coaching is taking players through the basics of the game from scoring to serving while building skill and confidence.

For more information about Back to Badminton, or other sessions or clubs in the area contact the Badminton England regional officer Nina Bridge via email at ninabridge@badmintonengland.co.uk or visit www.playbadminton.co.uk.

The sessions take place at the RLS on Wednesdays between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and cost £3.

Badminton England is the sports governing body and is helping promote the sport in the build up the 2012 Olympics.
