CHILDREN took advantage of the abundance of autumn fruits during the great Farthinghoe Bake off last week.

Pupils at Farthinghoe Primary School donned their aprons as part of National Baking Week and learned to make pastry and bake an apple and blackberry pie. Nicky Dorward from Limes Farm in Farthinghoe and Martin Harvey from Pudding Pie Cookery School in Middleton Cheney judged their produce and afterwards the school fulfilled baking week’s philosophy of ‘Bake and Share’ by inviting relatives and friends of the school to finish off the pies at the end of the week.

Prospective parents are invited to an open day on Saturday, November 5.
