A wedding caterer in Brackley has received a national award at the 2014 Wedding Industry Awards.

Lemon Zest walked away with the Best Wedding Caterer (Independent) Award for the East Midlands at the event which was held at The Bloomsbury Ballroom in London on January 15.

Hosted by Sky News’ Sarah Hewson, the awards recognise the very best in service, creativity, innovation, professionalism and passion.

More than 450 people attended the event and companies recognised included those supplying gowns, flowers, hair and make-up, venues, transport, entertainment and photography.

Around 1,250 companies entered the awards. A regional shortlist was drawn up based on votes cast by newlyweds.

Shortlisted companies went through another round of judging by an expert panel who decided the regional winners, before a final process of judging to decide the national winners.

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: “The Wedding Industry Awards really have become the gold standard for wedding excellence in this country.”
