Air amulance lands in Brackley town centre following fatal accident

TRIBUTES to a ‘kind-hearted and brilliant headteacher’ were being posted online this weekend after he was tragically killed in Brackley town centre.

At around 8.15am on Friday, May 11, 79-year-old Marcus Coleman from Evenley was crossing Market Place when he was in an accident with a Honda CBR motorcycle.

Mr Coleman was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury where he was pronounced dead. A 72-year-old women from Evenley, also involved in the accident, was treated for a fractured wrist.

The 19-year-old motorcycle rider from Brackley, suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe hospital where he was last reported to be in a serious condition.

Commenting on social networking site Brackley Gossip Girls, Rebecca Smith said: “Mr Coleman was a wonderful man, kind-hearted and a brilliant head teacher, he gave so much to Brackley juniors and at Southfields too.

“I’m sure I speak for many when I say he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many.”
