BREAKING NEWS: Brackley’s Katie Wright fired from The Apprentice
A GRADUATE of Magdalen College School in Brackley said she can still hold her head high after becoming the sixth person to be fired from the BBC hit series The Apprentice.
Speaking to the Advertiser before this evening’s show was broadcast 26-year-old Katie Wright said she could not recover from her boardroom appearance in episode one.
This week the candidates fighting it out for a £250,000 business deal with Lord Sugar were tasked with creating and selling gourmet street food. Katie’s team Phoenix, led by Adam Corbally, were £22 short of victory and the project manager chose Katie as a boardroom companion after she directed the team to sell their £5.99 meatballs outside a football stadium.
Katie said: “It’s been an amazing experience, it’s really sort of like the business Olympics.
“But I think the general consensus will be that I should not have been fired. And the reason I think it was me is that I had such an awful first episode which I could not recover from.”

Her father Tony Gilroy, of Brackley’s Gilroy and Steel Solicitors, said: “We’re incredibly proud of her.”
