Could you help sponsor a reindeer?

Winslow Town Council’s events committee is working hard to make its Christmas Fayre bigger and better than ever this year.

The annual Christmas Fayre is enormously popular, packing the historic Market Square with visitors.

This year’s event takes place from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday, November 29.

As usual, local shops will stay open late, while on the Market Square stalls will sell gifts and refreshments including mulled wine and cinnamon buns. There will be a hog roast and the Monkshood coffee van.

Santa will be in his grotto in the St Laurence Room courtyard, while the St Laurence Room houses charity stalls.

The highlight of the evening for children is always the visit by Santa’s real live reindeer.

Helen Knight, of Deli Estrella, said: “Reindeer don’t come cheap, but the kids adore seeing them.

“So we’re looking for sponsors, large and small, to help pay for them.”

Sponsorship of anything from £1 to £1,000 is welcome, from individuals and firms. Everyone who helps out will have their name promoted on the reindeer pen for the night.

If you’d like to chip in, call Mrs Knight on 01296 712466.
