Car fires on M40 and A34

A JAGUAR was damaged in a fire on the A34 near Weston-on-the-Green on Saturday afternoon.

One lane was closed on the northbound carriageway while firefighters from Bicester and Kidlington tackled the blaze in the car’s engine compartment. The fire was reported at just before 2pm.

The following day, a car was destroyed in a fire on the northbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 8A and Junction 9 at Bicester. The fire was reported at around 4.15pm.
