Centre to become ‘first class venue’

University of Buckingham - Work being carried out on the Radcliffe Centre

University of Buckingham - Work being carried out on the Radcliffe Centre

FOR the last three months builders have been transforming the Radcliffe Centre into a first-class venue fit for the needs of both the town and university.

By early February 2012 the work will be complete.

With its revamped interior and state-of-the-art equipment, the centre will be one of Buckingham’s premier arts venues.

The fantastic acoustics will be enhanced with a brand new sound system and performances will be improved with new lighting and black-out blinds.

Luxurious raked seating is being fitted together with a movable stage. The Radcliffe Centre will be able to host a range of events, from lectures and exhibitions to music and drama performances.

The university is grateful for all the donations and support it has received. However, we are still a long way from covering our costs. If you would like to donate, for £50 you can have a personal message in the Radcliffe Centre’s foyer, or for £200 you can have your name on a new chair. If you can help, please contact the Development Office, University of Buckingham, Buckingham, MK18 1EG, telephone 01280 820115 or email development.office@buckingham.ac.uk.
