editorial image

THERE’S still time to contact the Antiques Roadshow if you’ve got any large items you would like valued when the show visits Stowe House on Thursday, July 19.

The last time the show was in the area was at Bletchley Park in 2009.

Exciting finds filmed that day included a pair of Ramsden & Carr candlesticks worth nearly £10,000, a Steiff bear given to a child by the Duchess of Bedford and valued at more than £3,000, a sofa table bought for 30s (£1.50) and valued at £5,000 and a collection of moustache cups worth £20,000.

Among the team of experts at Stowe will be Paul Atterbury, Bunny Campione and Eric Knowles. The doors are open from 9.30am to 4.30pm and entry is free.

If you have large items, it may be possible to arrange to look at them in advance and organise transport. Send details and photographs to Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2LR or email them to antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk
