MORE than 30 youngsters flocked to Winslow’s new Jubilee Games Area on Wednesday afternoon for a football skills session with former MK Dons professional Bobby Winkelman.
The son of Dons chairman Pete Winkelman, who is now head of recruitment, had kindly offered to run the free session for Winslow children during the Easter holidays, to celebrate the official opening of the Jubilee Games area, funded by grants from WREN and Leader.
Bobby has a degree in sports science and has been assisting the MK Dons first team with training.
The sun shone as kids of all skills and all ages took part in more than an hour of skills practice, with a small-sided game to finish the session.
The budding partnership between MK Dons and Winslow follows the forging of a relationship between MK Dons and Buckingham over the past two years.
