PRIMARY school children were shown what you did when you were bored before the invention of the internet during a skills swap session at a Brackley sheltered housing scheme this week.
But is was not all one way as the residents of Diane House in Manor Road showed children from Brackley Junior School how to hopscotch and play jacks. The young people also gave a lesson or two of their own as they introduced the senior citizens to motion controlled games consoles, and internet enabled mobile phones
House manager Gaynor Brown said the sessions where part of Abbeyfield Week and their parent company’s drive to dispel intergenerational misconceptions.
She said: “Just because you’re a different age doesn’t mean you can’t share experiences and that is what this week has been all about.”
