Comedy and action movies

Buckingham’s independent cinema The Film Place has both a family comedy and an action adventure on offer this weekend.

On Friday, All In Good Time, at 8pm, is a touching, likeable comedy of life in Lancashire’s Hindu community from East Is East writer Ayub Khan-Din.

The film is set in Bolton, where Atul and Vina are celebrating their marriage. However, a honeymoon spent with his parents was not part of their plans.

At 7.30pm on Saturday, The Hunger Games is an exciting dystopian fantasy thriller based on the 2008 teen bestseller by Suzanne Collins.

Twenty-four young people are chosen annually by lottery to compete against each other in a televised survival contest until only one remains alive.
