Copper cable stolen from lorry on A34

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after five drums of copper cabling were stolen from the back of a lorry parked in a lay-by off the A34 near Wendlebury.

The cabling was stolen some time between 7.30pm on Monday and 4am on Tuesday, June 12, when the black and grey Scania lorry was parked in a lay-by off the A34 northbound.

Investigating officer PC Ian Macpherson, based at Bicester Police Station, said: “The A34 is a busy road so it is possible someone may have seen the lorry in the lay-by and possibly someone loading items off this vehicle, or onto another vehicle.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Macpherson on the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.
