Bucks County Council is looking for more foster carers.
This year 460 children and young people in Bucks have spent Christmas away from their families.
Cabinet member for children and families, Angela Macpherson, said: “Do something amazing in 2014, and become a Bucks foster carer. We are continually looking for more people to offer placements to Bucks children, from babies through to teenagers.
“I hope that many people across the county will contact us to find out more.”
Foster carers can be married, in a civil partnership, single or living with a partner. They can be from any ethnic background, in work, unemployed or retired.
The council offers allowances, mentoring, training and development, supervision and networking, including out-of-hours support.
