County and district elections

TOWCESTER: There will be a by-election for a Northants county councillor for Towcester, and a South Northants district councillor for Towcester Brook ward on Thursday, February 9.

The county council seat became vacant following the resignation of Rosemary Bromwich. The district council seat became vacant following the death of Diana Dallyn.

The deadline for registering to vote or to apply for a postal or proxy application is 5pm on Wednesday, January 25.

The polls will be open from 7am to 10pm at Towcester Sport and Social Club, in Swinneyford Road, and Towcester Methodist Church, in Brackley Road, Towcester.
