Diocese finds reverend to fill space left by Tony Bryer

Four churches in the south Northants, including St Lawrence Church in Towcester, are looking forward to welcoming new clergy to lead their communities later this year.

First to arrive will be the Revd Diane Whittaker, currently a curate in the Welwyn, she will become Priest in Charge of Potterspury with Furtho and Yardley Gobion with Cosgrove and Wicken on June 21. In September the Revd Simon Dommett, currently a Rector near Wellingborough, will become Rector of Aynho and Croughton with Evenly and Farthinghoe and Hinton-in-the-Hedges with Steane. Later in the month the Revd Brian Fairbank, a Rector in the St Alban’s Diocese will be instituted as Rector of Culworth, Sulgrave, Thorpe Manderville, Chipping Warden, Edgcote and Moreton Pinkney.

Three days later the Revd Ben Phillips, currently Vicar of Bodicote near Banbury will become Rector of The Tove Benefice (Towcester, Caldecote, Easton Newton, Greens Norton).
