Dog snatcher on the prowl in Brackley area

editorial image

Brackley police have said they are following several lines of enquiry after a man attempted to snatch a dog from a teenager last week.

Just after 5pm on Thursday, February 28, a man got out of a green van in Humphries Drive and tried to grab the dog’s lead.

The teenage girl shouted at him and he ran off.

Sergeant Steve Neal, from the Brackley Safer Community Team, said they are still trying to find out exactly what happened and wants to reassure dog owners they are investigating. He urged dog owners to keep their dogs on leads at all times

Witnesses of suspicious behaviour should call 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress.
