Enjoy Grand Union Canal walk and raise charity cash

editorial image

The Padbury-based national charity Brain Tumour Research is organising a fundraising walk along the Grand Union Canal on Saturday, September 29, between Soulbury, near Leighton Buzzard, and Great Linford, Milton Keynes.

Walkers can start or finish at either the Three Locks pub in Soulbury or the Black Horse in Great Linford (about 11 miles).

Those who would prefer a more gentle stroll can finish instead at either the Peartree Bridge Inn or The Plough at Simpson, Milton Keynes.

A minibus service will operate from 2pm to 5.30pm, to take walkers back to their cars. Intrepid hikers can opt for the round trip of 22 miles.

Arrive at the Three Locks or the Black Horse between 9.30am and 10.30am for registration, costing £5. Tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches will be available to purchase.

Register and request a sponsorship form at sarah@braintumourresearch.org or call Sarah on 01296 733011.
