Flood warnings remain in place for Buckingham and Brackley today, Friday.

Aylesbury Vale District council is monitoring the situation in Buckingham in conjunction with the Flood Action for Buckingham group. Several roads in north Bucks remain closed.

Residents at risk of flooding are advised to contact local builders’ merchants for sandbags, as listed on AVDC’S website home page (www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk).

Recycling and waste crews have been unable to collect from some areas today as some roads are impassable with flood water. The crews will be out tomorrow instead, subject to road conditions.

Residents are advised to take care whilst travelling and driving home. Check Bucks County Council’s website (www.transportforbucks.net) for the latest road closures.

For urgent issues to do with surface water flooding call Transport for Buckinghamshire on 0845 230 2882 or visit www.transportforbucks.net
