Good turnout by local farmers at traditional show

The 143rd annual Winslow Christmas Prime Stock Show and sale took place on Monday morning, at its new site at Foscote, judged by David Plested from Chinnor.

Champion Beef Animal was a Limousin heifer shown by Mike Dickens and family from Little Horwood. The animal was sold to Parrot Bros Butchers from Whitchurch.

Reserve Champion Beef Animal was a homebred Limousin shown by Judy Fountaine from Beachampton.

Young Farmers class was won by Thomas Hodges, of Edgcott and Winslow Young Farmers, who showed a Belgium Blue cross heifer.

John Claridge and family of Middle Claydon won both Champion and Reserve Champion Pen Of Lambs.
