Jail for three after violent attack on man in Buckingham
Three Buckingham men have been sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison following a violent, pre-meditated attack on a man in the town in May.
Paul Johnson, aged 20, of Meadow Gardens, and Aaron Bramford, aged 23, of Primrose Way, were each sentenced to five years for robbery and possession of cannabis. Joseph Lake, aged 19, of The Holt, was sentenced to five years for robbery.
The attack took place at about 6pm on Sunday, May 13, when Bramford and Johnson stopped a 23-year-old man, who was known to them, in Greenway Walk.
Bramford grabbed the man by the throat and told him to his empty his pockets, while Johnson held the man’s hands behind his back.
The victim was hit over the head from behind. Then Lake came over carrying a pole and an extendable baton which were used to beat the man around the body while he was on the ground. They then stole £80 cash and a mobile phone.
PC Steven Noble said the attack was pre-meditated.
All three pleaded guilty to robbery and were sentenced at Amersham Crown Court on Thursday, September 13.
