Draft masterplan for Foxhill deveolop in Brackley know as the Robson land by Manor Oak Homess

The BOSS of a house building firm has said he wants genuine consultation ahead of a public exhibition of proposals for around 180 homes on the north eastern tip of Brackley.

Manor Oak Homes, based in Walgrave near Northampton, hopes to build the homes on a site known locally as the Robson Land, behind the BP Service Station.

An exhibition of the plans will take place at the Crown Hotel in Market Place, between 3pm and 8pm on Thursday, October 4.

Will Main, the firm’s managing director, said the proposals were led by the Brackley Masterplan which designates the area as part of an sustainable urban extension, but he said it is also an isolated site, away from existing housing.

Mr Main said he did not pay lip service to the views of existing residents and added: “I’ve just done a consultation in Steeple Claydon. I think it is good to engage with the public and as a result of the engagement with resident there I changed the plans by moving the houses further away from neighbours who were concerned and by planting trees in another area, so we do listen to what people want.”

And urging residents to take the opportunity to comment on the proposals he said: “If they want to have an impact on the future of Brackley and how it will develop and grow over the next 15 years they need to have a look and I think it is important they are involved with the whole process.”

The website www.foxhillbrackleynorth.co.uk is already hosting documents relating to the development including comment forms.
