More village events to come

editorial image

A comedy night in Chardon Village Hall tomorrow, Saturday, sold out the moment it was advertised, but the organiser hopes it will be the first of many more to come.

Buckingham resident Gillian Mather organised tomorrow’s comedy night, starring stand-up Andy Kind, because she was aware how far people in villages have to travel for a night out.

Mrs Mather said: “I’m hoping to put at least four a year on.

And she added she would like to hear from any local people interested in taking part in a talent show later this year, particularly comedy acts of sketches.

But she said: “It has to be wholesome. I want it to be so the older generation can go and not be offended.”

Call her on 01280 814850.
