When Buckingham’s Grenville School reopens after Christmas, it will have a new name, a new uniform and a new headteacher.

Lucy Howard is an experienced leader who has worked at Bourton Meadow Academy for 10 years and has been supporting Grenville since April.

Mrs Howard is to be the head of the George Grenville Academy, which will become part of the Bourton Meadow Education Trust (BMET).

From January, Grenville will be run by BMET, which was founded this year with the aim of providing high-quality education to children in the Buckingham area.

As of next term, the trust will comprise its flagship school Bourton Meadow Academy, which has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted since 2006, as well as the George Grenville Academy and the new primary school to be built on Windsor Park.

The trust aims to have five schools open by 2016/17.
