New white goods shop in Buckingham town centre

Buckingham residents will no longer have to travel out of town to buy a fridge or a washing machine.

A local white goods retailer, with a long-established store in Bicester, has just opened a new shop in the centre of Buckingham.

Homegoods, in Cornwall Place, is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

Owner Mark Felton, who lives in Ardley, said the family firm has been established since 1996, when it opened its Bicester shop.

It also has a store in Kidlington.

Mr Felton told the Advertiser: “I like Buckingham, it’s a proper market town, and there’s not a proper white goods retailer.

“Everybody needs a washing machine and a cooker.”

As well as offering superior product knowledge, Mr Felton said his prices are competitive with the big multiples. Homegoods’ slogan is “Internet prices on the high street”.

The shop sells washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges, freezers, cookers and built-in appliances.

All the major home appliance brands are available, including Indesit, Hotpoint, Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Miele and Liebherr, and the company offers fast delivery from its Bicester warehouse, where it holds a large stock of appliances.

Mr Felton said trained staff are able to give good product advice, and the store is offering promotions, including a five-year guarantee on some products, cashback promotions and upgrade promotions.
