Children in Brackley were shown the human face of policing as part of national road safety week last month.

Heidi Hawkins from the Children’s Centre said they were lent toy street furniture from the Northampton Toy Library but added: “It was more about the children meeting the PCSO. None of them have had contact with the police before and it can be a bit scary for them, but they warmed to him quickly.”

A Children’s Centre Christmas Party will take place at Brackley Leisure Centre from 1.30pm on Saturday, December 15.
