Police keep open mind after break-ins

BICESTER: Police say they are keeping an open mind over whether two similar burglaries carried out in Bicester last week could be linked.

A house in Burns Crescent was broken into on Wednesday by burglars who forced open a rear window. It is thought thieves used neighbours’ gardens to get to the back of the house.

The break-in bears the hallmarks of another burglary carried out in Byron Way the following day.

PC Pip Hankiewicz, of Banbury CID, said: “At this moment in time we cannot confirm what, if anything, was stolen, and we are keeping an open mind as to whether it is linked to the burglary on Thursday in Byron Way.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
