WINSLOW police office is now open for regular hours three days a week, thanks to the growing team of volunteers.
Retired HGV driver Rod Gibbard has joined existing volunteers Ruth Ash and Andy Dyke to man the office on a regular basis.
Mr Gibbard, who grew up in Padbury, has been a volunteer in Milton Keynes for the last five years.
His wife Georgina works in Winslow’s One Stop shop.
Mr Gibbard now mans the office on Thursdays, Mr Dyke on Tuesdays and Ms Ash on Saturdays.
PC Martin Siderman said he has two more volunteers currently going through training and is hoping they will be ready to start soon.
He said: “The hope is I can open four days a week.”
The police office is open from 10am to 2pm on the three days.
But PC Siderman said people are welcome to call at the office any time officers are there.
“If the place is open, we welcome people to knock on the door and come in,” he said.
“If we’re here, we’re always happy to speak to people.”
