BRACKLEY residents woken up in the early hours of Monday morning by the sound of a police helicopter hovering overhead can be glad it ended in the arrest of two suspected burglars.

At around 2am police received reports of two people trying to break into an outbuilding in Waynflete Close. By the time officers arrived at the scene the two men had left and police dogs were deployed in search of them. The Northants Police helicopter was also used in the search.

Two 26-year-old men from Banbury were eventually arrested and were taken for questioning in Northampton.
