Revellers drink festival dry as sun shines on Brackley Park
THE sun shone on Brackley Park last weekend as revellers made their way through 54 barrels of real ale, 62 barrels of lager and cider, three barrels of Pimms and 100 bottles of wine.
In his last year as chairman of the Round Table Beer Festival committee Chris Brennan thanked everyone involved and he said: “It’s been an inspiring day. To see so many people having such great time, in such beautiful surroundings is brilliant.
“The bands were fantastic, we couldn’t have done it without all the volunteer staff, and the people of Brackey were awesome.”
Mr Brennan thanked vice-chairman Jess Breward who will take over from him, and hopes it will be easier to plan next year.
Mr Brennan said they had to jump a number of hurdles to hold festival in the park and added: “When its something for the community, by the community they should be more lenient.”
