A Buckingham mum has organised a baby and children’s nearly new sale to help the charity that has helped her cousin’s family.

Shelli Embling is running the fundraising sale at Calvert Green Community Hall on Sunday, November 11, from 1.30pm to 4pm.

There will also be a raffle with some superb prizes.

Money raised will go to Ronald McDonald House at Oxford Children’s Hospital, a charity that provides free accommodation at the hospital for families of children who are undergoing treatment there.

Miss Embling’s cousin Neil Matthias and his partner Laura Stanton’s 14-month-old son Oliver was born seven weeks premature with multiple health problems.

Oliver, who weighs only 15lb, has a congenital heart disorder and his ears have not formed properly. As yet, doctors have not been able to label his condition.

The Steeple Claydon couple stayed at Ronald McDonald House in June when Oliver spent two weeks on life support with pneumonia, and Miss Stanton said the charity was “incredible”.

Family friend, Scarlett Steer, aged 11, who attends Bourton Meadow Academy, is holding a stall at the sale as part of her Citizenship award, and is asking for parent donations of unwanted toys.
