School pays tribute to talented pupil after tragic Alps fall

The Royal Latin School has paid tribute to 12-year-old Charlie Saunders, who was a pupil at the school.

Headteacher David Hudson said: “Charlie was a very talented and motivated boy who made a huge impact on the lives of everyone who knew him.

“He was a popular boy and threw himself into school life with 100 per cent effort and motivation to succeed.

“Charlie loved a wide range of sports and especially the great outdoors.

“He will be hugely missed and we send our thoughts and prayers to his family, especially his mother and sister, at this tragic time.”

Charlie’s primary school, Buckingham Primary School, is expected to release a statement later today.
