Series of raids on Waitrose
SUPERMARKET BREAK-INS: Burglars attempted to break in to Waitrose in Buckingham on Wednesday morning.
Insp Emma Garside told the Advertiser: “In the early hours of May 2 there was an attempt to break in but they were unsuccessful.”
She said this attempt is linked to a previous successful raid on the store on April 19 when the contents of the cigarette counter were cleared out.
She said: “The two jobs have been linked and they are also linked to a series of events involving Waitrose in Brackley and Towcester.
“Investigations are ongoing but no suspects have been arrested as yet.”
