Steam along to railway rally
The Bucks Railway Centre, at Quainton, is hosting a Steam and Vintage Vehicle Rally on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23.
As well as two traditional steam train rides and circuits of the miniature railway, there’s a chance for a nostalgic ride on the steam-powered gallopers.
With more than 30 full-sized and miniature traction engines, a steam-driven saw bench and dramatic stonecrusher, there will also be stationary engines, tractors, commercial vehicles, classic cars and motorcycles and two fairground organs.The centre will be open from 10.30am to 5.30pm on both days and admission costs £10 for adults, £7 for children, £27 for a family ticket for two adults and up to four children.
There’s plenty of free parking.
