An application to build a small supermarket on the site of the former Chandos Cinema, in Buckingham, has been submitted to Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC).

The application to demolish the building, which more recently housed a Vauxhall dealership, and build a neighbourhood convenience store has been submitted by Buckingham Maine. It is believed it could house a Sainsbury’s.

It includes the creation of new access and parking.

Notice of the application was posted on Wednesday, and is due to be decided on March 5. Application no 13/00009/APP can be viewed on on the AVDC website.
