Teens take part in classical concert

Fiori Musicali

Fiori Musicali

Students from the county’s performing arts school will perform alongside some of the country’s most renound baroque and classical musicians.

South Northants Council (SNC) and Orchestras Live are supporting Fiori Musicali to bring world-class music to the district.

SNC already support several Fiori concerts, as well as music appreciation evenings where Fiori’s director Penelope Rapson provides a platform for people to learn about baroque and other music.

In a new venture, Fiori team up with the Norhants Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT), in a project to give students a chance to perform alongside some of Fiori’s established international players.

A public concert which takes place ay Nicholas Hawksmorr School in Towcester on Saturday, March 2, will feature young musicians from the district performing Vivaldi and Corelli alongside experienced professionals from the Fiori Musicali Chamber Orchestra.

SNC’s partnership with Orchestras Live, the national development agency for orchestral music in England, is a vital component that makes it possible for local people to hear outstanding musicians right on their doorstep.

Councillor Rosie Herring, SNC’s portfolio holder for Community Engagement and Wellbeing said: “I am sure they will find it truly inspirational to be able to play and listen to them at the concert.”

For tickets and further information about the concert call the Fiori Musicali Box Office 01327 360931 or visit www.fiori-musicali.com (no booking charge for e-tickets).
