With just over a week to go until the Buckingham 10k Run, there is still the opportunity to enter.

You can enter in advance, as well as register on the day (subject to availability).

Buckingham Ladies Circle is organising the event, which is being held on October 14.

The circle is aiming for this year’s run to be the most successful yet, and all proceeds will be donated to three charities - Sue Ryder Care, Alzheimers Society (Memory Cafe, Buckingham) and the Winslow Youth Cafe.

Club president, Caroline Vooght, said: “Our target this year is £2,500, and we’ve been delighted with the reponse for advance applications already. We’re also very grateful to organisations who have donated items to us including Buckingham Boot Camp, The Jordans Ryvita Company and Heron Signs.

“Buckingham Table is organising the marshals so if you would like to help on the day then please get in touch.

“Without our marshals the event cannot go ahead, and we know how much the runners love their support and cheering along the route.”

The run starts at 9.30am from Buckingham Bull Ring and follows a scenic, multi-terrain route up to Stowe Landscape Gardens and back to town.

Registration is from 8am on the morning.

For more information on how to enter or to join in and support the run as a marshal, please go to www.buckingham10k.weebly.com, www.facebook.com/buckingham10krun or www.buckinghamtable.org
