Thieves steal large amount of cigarettes

CRIME: A ‘substantial’ number of cigarettes were stolen during a break-in at a Towcester supermarket last weekend.

Between 3am and 4am on Saturday, January 26, three men forced their way into the Co-operative food store in Richmond Road.

A police spokesman said they caused a considerable amount of damage and stole a substantial number of cigarettes, which they took away in green plastic bin liners.

The offenders are described as all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered
